WHO ARE WE?
We met in Lamu in 1975
Me 1975 in Siyu village, Pate Island. We spent 32 years in Sweden.
Paul and I Left Sweden 2008, here we just arrived to settle in Lamu in October.
Paul and I visited most villages walking
across Pate Island. We met wonderful people.
Stayed with Tima Uli in Chundra.

Back in Sweden we bought an old inn in 1979, got married and

Dala-Floda Inn was one of the first to be licensed both ecological hotel and

The first restaurant to receive the Slow Food diploma in Sweden among other
Returning to Lamu 1990 with our children for a holiday.
We found our Subira House, Former Liwali's House.
It was built by the famous governor of the Busaidi family
whose status in Lamu was that of a king under the Sultan of Zanzibar.
Every year we came for some months to relax
and work to set the house back to its original beauty.
We produced our cook book "World Food from Världshuset

We receive the award "The Cultural Inn of the year 2001"
